Text: Proverbs 4:5-9

Get wisdom! Get understanding!... Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.

*Introduction:* We are created with the capacity to transmute, transform and grow. If your growth is only of the body, then there is a real problem.

It's very important to treat this theme at such a time as this; when organisations are down sizing, some are shoting down;

*ELEPHANT'S STAKE:* As big and strong as an elephant is, what hold it down is just a little stake. How is it possible?
Now, from the time an elephant is a baby, a rope will be put on it's neck and be tied to the stake which is pegged into the ground. So he makes attempt to move but the stake holds it and prevent it from moving. He then grows up believing that once it has a rope on it's neck, he can't move. At that point, the rope and the stake have moved into the elephant's mind, the captivity is now seated in it's mind. As mighty as an elephant could be, it has lost it to the stake which is deeply rooted in it's mind.

but listen no circumstance will put a stop to your destiny, we are not going to be stranded. No one is getting stagnated here. Amen. That's  why it is important to treat this series about understanding.

When the lockdown came, I said to myself, this is not going put an end to my life. So, I decided to do a few things, those few things are powerful. One of them is that, *I asked myself "what is going to be the secret to survive this period?" It occurred to me that relevant information will play a major role.* So, I decided to set myself up to get informed as it is required. I also, enrol for trainings and coaching online with international figures. It cost me dollars but it is going to pay off. What am I saying, there is capacity to evolve. You can change, you can still grow.There are three words that are interrelated.

1) *Knowledge:* It is the accumulation of skills, information about a subject, or a place.

_*James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.*_

2) *Wisdom:* is the discretionary use of knowledge, experience and intuition on different situations to maximise profit.
Here we are talking about God kind of knowledge - to know what to do and what not to do.

3*Understanding:* gives meaning to knowledge, it is the link between knowledge and wisdom. Therefore understanding is the ability tou process information, comprehend and grasp the full meaning of a matter for further steers.

Here are some of the things that understanding will do for you.

*Understanding brings harvest in degrees:

Fugue 9 in Hebrew means harvest time. Even, if you are pregnant, by the nineth months, you are expected to deliver.

Some of you are seated here with pregnancy of good things, I bring you to delivery this month. Go and be giving birthday to your dreams.

The degree of your understanding about a matter determines the extent of your harvest.
Some understand in 30%, 60%, 100% and gathered their harvests accordingly.

Understanding creates Image: from the beginning the word "image" prompted in Gen.1:26-27. So we are creatures of image and vision.

That's why you cannot do more than your self-image; which means the image of yourself. That image of yourself gives rise to self-esteem i.e self-respect, self-worth.

Devil will come with sickness to damage your health, now that you understand better, when he comes, tell the devil where he belongs.

Jesus told him,

Mtt.16:23, Mk.8:33, Lk.4:8 satan get thee behind me

When devil attacks, it is the image he has comes for. Satanic knows that if he can attack the image you are carrying on your inside, you are finished.

Why did God say you should not get any image for yourself? It's because, God is the best image in which you can mirror yourself.

Exo.20:4 God treat them with perfect hatred: Exo.34:13 But you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images

Understand the communion: 1 Cor. 11:29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

Heb. 10:5 Christ’s Death Fulfills God’s Will therefore, when He came into the world, He said:... But a body You have prepared for Me.

God prepares ahead of time. He has prepared the body of the Lord _as  healing communion_ but many do not see it that way. They will still say, what is this.

EMPHASIS
A man went to farm and had snake poison in his eyes, came back home blind. The wife went to the church to collect holy communion wine and gave it to the husband to drink. They eyes were restored.
In this ministry too, a brother who was diabetic only carried holy communion tray and the plague stopped.

You can remain in the fight and be sure of not loosing, as long as you are still retaining the image of God and His likeness in you.

How can the image of God be poor, is God poor, is He broke, is He sick? Then why should I be sick?
Get that understanding.

You've got to be ruthless and be brutally with that sickness

You will say, devil get lost...

Sicknesses pack your load and go in the name of Jesus.

You will say, bad luck, I forbid you in my life by the blood of Jesus right now. Amen.

Fresh Encounter

Open My Heaven

Text: Luke 3:21 KJV 

Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,  

:22And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Mtt.3:16 personalised it; note therefore; it was Jesus's heaven that was opened, not the heavens of all of them that were baptised or present. 

There are things which God meants to personalise for His children individually and for the church. 

All of you can be in the same business and you can be born into the same family, it doesn't guarantee that everybody's heaven will be open. It's  only the peeson that his heavens are open that succeeds. You shall succeed

Can I prophecy, may your heaven be opened. Among those that their heavens shall open, you shall be one of them this month. 

On anybody's life whose is heaven is opened; the followings will be evidenced; 

*Open heaven activates the anointing, the Holy Spirit cannot but move when your heaven is opened. Bible says, :...the HOLY SPIRIT descend on Him...:

*The heavens spoke ...Psa. 19:1-2. You cannot be deaf because open heaven is open hear, it is open door, you will surely hear God. 

*There is going to be divine approval...

*Divine auto announcement. You need heavens to announce you and what you do ...a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

*Favour begins to follow. When you are a beneficiary of open heaven, you cannot be destitute of favour. It will just be as if you know how to do it.

I bring you under the glag of open heaven, you're about to testify. 

EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER II

Text: Js.5:15-18

DEFINITION Praying is the art of communicating between God and man in fellowship, it's a dual carriage in which there is request and response between God and man. It is much of communication plus actions, which is equal to testifiable results. 

4) EFFECT OUTWORKS AND OUTLIVES YOU: Matt.5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Somethings will get outdated but neither the word of God, nor prayer will become obsolete. Answers to prayer are generational, the result has no end even generations unborn will reap answers.

5) SERVING HASTES UP ANSWERS: Jn.15:16 Bearing of fruits in the ministry, through service in the church guarantees answer to any legit prayer.

1Co.15:58 - When you see serving God as an investment, your perspective changes, distance to the place of service won't be a barrier, you and your family will factor in getting up earlier than other days on Sunday morning in other to beat traffic. As important as they are; family, job, friends won't won't come between you and your services to God because their welfare is God based, despite trials, you will be steadfast and immovable knowing that all of your comments to the house of God is not going to be in vain.

CONCLUSIONS: Pray as I pray; you will reap answers to your prayers.

Your services shall count, they shall not be in vain,

Come what may, you shall be immovable, and steadfast, in Jesus name Amen.

EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER (I)

Topic: EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER 

Text: James.5:15-18

1) DEFINITION: Praying is the art of communicating between God and man in fellowship, it's a dual carriage where there is speech and response between God and man. Dan. 10:12-13, Gen. 25:22-33, 2Cor. 8-9

2) PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS: A righteous is a child of God who is born again because righteousness is a gift; Rm.4:11&22, Rm.5:17, Eph.2:8. Also, a righteous is someone who does what is right having been born again 1Jn. 3:7, because God does not answer a sinner. Jn. 9:31. So, here is the guarantee that your prayer shall be answered if you are a child of God.

3) PRAYER AS A SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLE:

You know what? Principles don't change. You want fresh encounter? You can leverage on the principle of prayer and the word of God.

Submitting to Leadership II

Text: Jer. 13:5

Leadership: is been able to influence one or two persons. The primary aim of leadership is to actually make sure that the vision goes far, thus leader does not go alone. It is the process of discovery, helping  to discover, rediscover, polishing, loading and reloading, sharpening, brushing individuals unique selling points, niches in the pattern of a vision. The mistake many leader make is to wait till the end of their assignment, rather the excersice start along side with the assignment now. 

1) CODE TO APPOINT SUCCESSOR: Lk.22:26 - I have come to appreciate the statement in Lk. 22:26 over time in ministry. Jesus is cracking a code for a successful assignment. Ministry is about serving. Serving is running errand for God, serving under a leader, serving in the church; either by joining department, taking up assignment or by appointment. It is for people that are ready to serve when it is convenient or not.

2) READINESS TO PAY THE PRICE: -1Chr.11:17-19

You can practically experience regular encounter with God if you are ready to pay the price. That is why unlearning and learning are not optional in followership, so as to be able to get excellence in service. Talent is not enough, you need a coach. If you are too big to serve, you are too small to lead.

3) Serve as unto the Lord. This perspective focuses you on God, especially when it seems not convenient, it keeps you going. Col.3:23, even in marriage Col. 3:18, at the family level, whereas church the Lord's family Col. 3:20

4) Not in grumbling: The assignment you do with complaints are not tenable to God. It is expected of ministers in God's house to find possible solutions to reach their place of duty and to stop at nothing until God is satisfied with your service. Jude 1:16-19

5) Fulfil the ministry:- Col. 4:17 - Be goal focussed, since the intention of a follower is to become a worker, then a minister, you must take heed to fulfil the ministry which you have received in the Lord. 

6) Faithfulness in stewards is required: Heb. 3:1,2,5 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to Him that appointed Him, as also Moses was faithful in all His house. Today we are talking of their deeds. The world is about to have you for a topic. 1Cor. 4:2

7) *APPOINTED TO BARE ABIDING FRUITS: Jn. 15:16 There is a way it flows down from the top to the down. This is important because of followers that are hyper with tendencies to think they can rubish their leader. Order has to be respected, get to know who appointed who and who you are accountable to through God. Paul and Barnabas were productive in all their ministry. Production of fruits should be the focus; i.e fruits of the Spirit Eph. 5:8-11, Gal.5:22-24 and results from your task, Acts 12:23 not flexing of muscle. Joel b2:7-8 explains that  people of God should not break their ranks. I bring help for those that are having issues with submission.

CONCUSSION ACTS 6:3-7: When members allow the word of God to mold their mind and form right attitude by the Holy Spirit, everybody and everything in the church will attest to a new level of experience. The church grows, faithfuls go up, business booms family tranquillity is sure verses 7 & 8 and hell will not be able contain it. It will reamain a fresh encounter. 

It requires all of us to build the ministry, no arm chair or bench warmer but be actively involved. In Achievers, it shall be a fresh encounter again and again in the name of the Lord.

Submitting to Leadership (I)

Topic: Submitting to Leadership (I) 

Text: 1Cor.11:1-3

1) Leadership and followership is relational. Mtt. 11:29

There must be a connecting point at  the Spirit, mind and purpose. These are vital. 

For instance, in Achievers Assembly;

OUR VISION:

_To build a community of achievers, who will make a difference in the society globally through the gospel.

OUR MISSION:

_To preach gift of righteousness, deliverance and to give you a life style of discovery, development and achievement of purpose._

This is our common ground. 

*LEADERS 2Cor.5:14a:

Leaders are not expected to Lord it over the disciples  but compel them. 1Pt.5:1-4. This I remind myself regularly and I want to pass to the rest leaders too. Mk.10:42-44

*FOLLOWERS:

It is expected of the followers to submit to the leader - Eph.6:1, 1Pt.5-6, as on to God who will reward him with lifting in due time.

2) RESPECT LEADERSHIP: Heb. 13:17: It is possible that you don't know what is expected of you towards your pastor and the church leaders. In this case; myself, the pastorate, heads of department, head of ministry and admin. Love the leadership but if at all you are finding it difficult to love, then respect your father in the Lord and all that his are, respect his vision, doctrine, regards his needs, II Tim.3:10-11,Jn. 7:16, respect and do the same, one to another. The vision you don't respect hardly can profit you.

This is a practical way to connect and process leadership and followership.
